RAID formatting problem

I have built the following system: Gigabyte GA-7DXR motherboard, Win 2K, 512 MB PC2100 RAM, 1 IBM 60GXP 40 GB HD as C:, 2 IBM 60GXP 40 GB HD in RAID 0 as D:. Win 2k sees D: as an 80 GB drive, but when I try to format D: I always get an error message about "unable to complete format". Any ideas for me to try?

Thanks for your help.

Try applying SP2 before formatting the D drive. W2K didn't support ATA100 until then. Also, many users have reported problems with W2K and IDE RAID setups. (Perhaps related to the first point?)

Do a search.

Also, the original version of FDISK does not recognize drives that are over 60GB correctly, so you have to go to MS and get an updated version of this...Not sure if Win2K already has this but
