RAID experts, my Fasttrack is putting me onto the fast track to alcoholism. Please help.

Thanks for reading. I've got a Promise Fasttrack 100 that in striping mode only wants to show the capacity of ONE drive in WindowsME (hey, Win2K didn't play my little boy's games worth a hoot), even though in the cards' BIOS it shows capacity*2 like it should. The BIOS is set for Striping.

I've tried this with three drives in all configurations with two cables, to no avail. Is it me? Do I have to wipe WinME clean and start over? All drivers are current from the appropriate websites, and the card is plugged into an Abit KT7 running 128 megs RAM.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated, and I check this at work often so I can answer pretty quickly.

Are the drives Large? If they exceed 64GB combined win Me has a problem where it cant properly identify the size of the drive.. I had this problem on my 122GB array and it was only in the system properties where the improper size was identified..the rest of the system "saw" it correctly. You will only see one drive in the device manager, as in stripe your system only sees one large drive, though more than one is used by the controller to create the array.

Thanks for replying for me. It's actually only a couple of 20 gig 5400 Maxtor's, so that should come under the limit that you mentioned.

I just did a complete wipe and reinstall, only to see it still showing only one of the 20 gig drives. If there's any more advice you might be able to give me I'd really appreciate it.
