RAID Drivers

I will be getting an Asus A8N SLI with 2 drives but will not be connected via RAID so will I need to install the RAID drivers during the installation of XP?

No,only need to load drivers from floppy for raid setup, you could load raid drivers {for a raid prebuild} and be ahead of the game if you at a later time decide to run a raid array, they will be there and will not create any probs.

Akamai. Now that's thinking ahead.

Ok, so if I decide that I want a RAID setup later down the road its better to install the drivers now even though none is currently present right and basically, performance or stability wil; not be affected should the drivers be installed?

Yes ! the only time you will see it is from a bootup and only if you have raid enabled in the bios, other than that you will not even know.
