RAID cards and existing data

Hi All,

I'm looking for a SATA RAID card to build a RAID 1 array with, however for a number of reasons I need to make sure that I can build an array without wiping the existing data on the drive. Creating the array and then copying the data over isn't really an option for a number of reasons. I have had good experiences with 3WARE cards, however it's also been my experience that it needs clean drives to build the array for the first time. Does such a card exist, 3WARE or other?

Thanks!

Jon
