raid card problems

I have an older raid card. Its giving a problem. Essentially, it will let see the drives, let me install windows, but when it reboots its spits an error. Could it be the battery not remembering a configuration?
 
it would help to know some details like make/model of your raid card, motherboard and the exact error it reports.
