here is the few question
does my Maxtor 7200rpm updatable to ata100? because on maxtor website it say the firmware update are for maxtor plus60 and vl class HD and my is maxtor plus 40
if i add maxtor ide controller card, do i need two the same size HD to use that controller card? because i heard for Raid setup you need two the same HD. and how much performance increase will i see with plain ata100 controller card?
and what is performance difference compare with ata100 card and ata100 fasttrack raid card?
If i add fasttrack raid, how much performance increase will i see?
currently my system bootup within 25second. Maxtor HD is pretty fast
for people that have raid setup, can you tell me how long does it take you to bootup?
how many different raid setup are there? and which are the best and fastest and most stable?
i'm serious consider going to raid setup, i need to know a few thing before i dump my valuable cash into it.
P.S for raid setup does have to be two the same HD? can it be Maxtor 40gb with ibm 61.4gb?
