Raid and ata66 questions

ok..im wondering...do you have to have the EXACT same HD if you want to use raid? Meaning speed and size?

Also I was wondering how I can use the ata66 abiblity of my HD's with the new kt7a-raid board. DO i have to use those promise 66 drivers? How do i do this? Thanks for any help..
