I was under the impression that a dedicated raid adapter was preferable when doing raid over the built-in motherboard equivalent, if you have it.
I took one step in consolidating my data by getting a Hitachi 2tb drive. I am going to get one more of those but also 2 x Samsung F3 500gb drives for my games in RAID 0.
So, my two questions are:
1) Which RAID card should I be looking for?
2) Is there any point in doing RAID for the 2 x 2tb drives which will be storage/backup?
Thanks!
