RAID _ IBM HD freezes

Member
Installed win2k on 2x30 ibm 100 ata raid and HD freezes a little after boot up.

I also can't do the format /z:32 thing!

Any help would be greatly appriciated

Anybody knows of any utility that will check those IBM drives?

To which version BIOS should I upgrade ?

RE: "need more info..are you ocing etc?"

I'm not overclocking untill I get it to work, which leads me to ask when I overclock, how should I set the bios etc.

Specs:
KT7 MB W/raid
Duron 600
2 IBM 100 ATA HD
SCSI adapter Adaptec (which I removed for now because it won't let me boot.)
Thank you🙂

If I remember correctly, it wasn't until the UZ BIOS was released that I actually became happy with my KT7-RAID. Before that, it locked up all the time. One major problem was that I had a non-RAID drive as slave on IDE3, and whenever I tried moving/copying anything from this drive to the RAID array, the system slowed down and eventually froze.

I can't verify the BIOS version atm, as I'm using another computer right now, but I'm pretty sure it was UZ. And remember to get the 1.0.3 HighPoint drivers as well when upgrading the BIOS.

Edit: grammar 🙂
