REBUILT AN ADAPTEC RAID 5 ARRAY BECAUSE 1 DRIVE WAS DEAD. THE CARD ADAPTEC 3200 SEES THE ARRAY AS OPTIMAL (ALL 3 DRIVES) BUT WINDOWS 2000 SERVER CANNOT. TRIED EXPLORER TRIED DISK MANAGER NOTHING. EVEN TRIED RESCAN NO LUCK. STRANGE THING THE ARRAY SHOWS UP IN DEVICE MANAGER. ALSO THE REASON I CAN BOOT TO THE O/S I ALSO HAVE A RAID 1 ON THE SYSTEM
 
I think the first step to solving this problem is to turn off caps lock.
