RAID 5 w/ 5 drives, which controller or motherboard

Right now I've got 4 x Samsung 2TB's in RAID5, but may be itching to add a 5th drive (will have to re-do the entire array).

Any recs on a good card that has 5 SATA ports to do RAID5? or a Motherboard (intel or amd) that can do RAID5 w/ 5 drives? TIA!

for 5 drives, I suspect you will be either looking at pure software (based on the OS), or looking at a proper raid card.

A proper (including hybrid and hardware) raid card though will be limited by budget.

No otherboards I am aware off that do a 5 drive array. Most are limited to 4 drives per controller (even if the board has multiple controllers).
