Raid 5 on SI 3114R or NV Raid

I'm thinking about buying an new Mobo amd most that I am considering have the
Silicon Image 3114R Raid Controller or
NV Raid as part of the Nforce4 chipset

What I want to know is anyone had used these controllers to set up Raid 5 and whether there are options to rebulld the disk array in case of a single disk failure. I've looked through documentation for the motherboard makers (asus an8-sli), silicon image, and nvidia and can't really get a clear answer.

It looks like Raid 5 is supported but rebuilding is not addressed.
