Hiya, I have been looking on the internet for several hours for a motherboard, to no avail, that meets these specifications:

  • Supports Core 2 DUO E6600
  • Either has 1x PCI-E x16 or supports Nvidia SLI (but not Crossfire)
  • Supports minimum 4 SATA hard drives in a RAID 5 array
  • If possible 6 SATA hard drives in the same RAID 5 array.. is there and boards that can do this?
  • Not made by Gigabyte

Thanks in advance everyone. :)

There should be several others. The problem shouldn't be finding one, but picking among them..

Alternatives include the Intel Desktop "executive" series.

But note that on-board RAID 5 write performance is typically much worse than with add-on cards. Here, an SLI board can help, because you can put a higher-end PCIe storage controller in the second big PCIe slot. A minimum of x4 PCIe be advised for a higher-end storage controller; some go higher of course.
