RAID 5 array attempting to re-verify in windows upon each boot

Hi All,

I just put together a decent system (imo) and am having some issues with my raid array. The system seems to want to re-verify the RAID array every time it boots, but only in Windows. The card BIOS shows everything is OK and the disk management utility is also showing all the drives being fine. What could cause this?

I've also noticed the sequential reads take a dump at the 5TB mark for the worse and don't get much better. Here are the specs, screenshots below.

Motherboard: Asus p6td deluxe v2
Processor: Intel 975 EE 3.33GHz (not overclocked yet)
RAM: 6GB Kingston
Video: Asus branded ATI Radeon EAH4850
PSU: Thermaltake 750W modular
RAID Card: 3ware 9650SE-8LPML
RAID Drives: 8x WD 2TB RE4-GP drives (RAID 5)
Primary/boot drive: 300G Velociraptor
Case: Antec DF85
OS: Win7 ultimate x64

Array displaying it's okay:
