I just got my hands on a set of hot little 250gb hds to run RAID-1 to complement my 200gb raid-1 boot drive.
Using them for storage, I formatted in such a way as to give a dedicated page file, combined with lots of storage space.
Started copying over all my files from one drive to another, so as to get rid of clutter on my boot drive.
What do I find? They use up between 99% to 100% of the CPU.
Is it just me, or is there something seriously wrong with this picture? And is there anyway to fix it?
