Raid 1 possible on ICH5R on P4C800-E ?

Is it possible to attach 2 SATA drives to ICH5R SATA connectors on an ASUS P4C800-E and form a Raid 1 setup or does this only handle Raid 0 ?

As far as the manual tells, it does support both RAID 0 striping and RAID 1 mirroring.

I thought so too. But a friend who wants to do this says he only gets the option for raid 0. I asked him to flash the newest BIOS ver 1014 and try again. He does not know what ver of BIOS is installed on his MoBo - must be the one which came with the board
