Raid 1 hard drive replacement

When one hard drive fails in a two drive raid one set-up, is it as simple as just replacing the defective drive ? When re-booting will the new drive automatically be restored with the lost data from the original ?
Thanks

You will have to enter the RAID BIOS and elect to rebuild the array.
But, yes it is that simple.

Not hard. As KGBMan said, you install the new drive, then on boot, select rebuild at the RAID BIOS screen It nominally takes about an hour.
