I'm curious as to what the best rated RAID controller out there currently. I want a nice high end card with ample memory, to run my 2 deskstars in a RAID 0 setup. Links would be great... Thanks..

cheers..

Yes, the drives are UDMA5 (ATA100). Is the adaptec card able to handle IDE, or is it simply for LVD/SCSI raid?

If you want real RAID (like high end) go SCSI.. it's $$$$$ though.

For kickin' RAID get an Adaptec IDE RAID card, I think it's the AAA-UDMA, and ptromise will have a real processor-on-board coming out soon I heard.

For better-than-nothing RAID go software through NT, Linux, or use a promise type card if you want a little more compatability.. probably easier than dealing with some of the 2K stuff too.
