I am going to shop for a new comp.

Its been almost 3 years since my last raid 0

can someone tell me how much performance boost i can get from doing raid 0 for playing games?

or it does not make any difference at all?

Well, it isn't twice as fast as non-RAID 0, but it's still quite fast, especially with two 74GB WD Raptors.😀
 
search RAID for a bunch of past threads, many gaming-specific.

but short answer, a lot less than 3 years ago, given drives are now 7200 RPM with 4 times the data density and have 8 MB onboard cache.
