Raid 0 With p5w dh deluxe

At the moment I have
36 gb raptor
2x250 wd 7200rpm drives
1 500 wd 7200 rpm drive

and I want a 1.5 tb drive and possibly another 36 gb drive to run in raid. Am I going to run into problems with this many drives and doing a raid 0 setup also?

Thanks,
Arthur

Yes, if you want to run all 6 drives in a striped array.
IF you MUST run a RAID array for whatever reason, run the 2 x 250GB WDs in RAID 0 and leave the other drives by themselves for storage, or sell some of them.

Please know that you will be dissuaded from running any RAID array in this forum.

I wouldn't say he'll be dissuaded from running any RAID array, just from running a RAID 0 array.

I think you're going to be underwhelmed by two old Raptors in RAID.

Ok cool, I was just wondering if there were any pertinant problems with that many drives. The 250's and raptor are two years old, and the 500 is one year. The others will be new.

i ran 2 wd 74gb 10,000rpm drives for 3 or more years with other storage drives and suffered no problems from such, unless it was self inflicked.
