RAID 0 Problems

OK, I have just tried to Format my new matching SATA drives for RAID 0. So far i have waited an Hour and a Half and it is only at 3%. I feel it is taking way too long. I used the correct drivers in the windows install and set up the array correctly. Before I formated it showed as one large (240GB) Drive, so i know the array was set. (Useing 2 SATA 120GB Drives). I am wondering if something is wrong, or if it simply takes about 30 min for each 1%.
 
What mobo and bios revision, i ran into the same problem with my DFI Lanparty when i updated the bios, reverted back to old and it worked fine
