I got problem with that my new raid config that use 100% of my CPU power (athlonXP 1800+).
Moderboard is ABIT KR7A-RAID.
I use two IBM 120GXP drives that is set up with raid 0 with two IDE cables one to IDE3 and one to IDE4.
Both drives use cable selection on the jumpers.
I use 2.31 BIOS and drivers.
I have VIAs Raidpatch installed rpp1.01 and I'm using latency drivers 0.19d.
I running everything under WindowsXP.
When I for example try to install something from a CD to the raiddrive the CPU goes up to 100%.
Please help me!

I know that this is NOT normal.
When I used my old none raid disc I did not have this problem.
I really need help!
I can hardly install a program from a CD.

from what you are telling me...
it definately sounds like a driver issue.

see if you can find yourself a better raid driver/bios.

i wish i could help you... but i don't have that mobo to test out the config.

but do check out ocworkbench's abit forum for more info.
as well as our general hardware & mobo forum
