For about the same total price:

Should I go for 2 x 74GB WD Raptors 10,000rpm 8mb cache in Raid 0 (stripe)

OR

2 x 250GB DiamondMax Plus10 7200rpm 16mb cache ncq in Raid 0 (stripe)?

and yes, I need and want a raid0 setup.

2 x 250GB DiamondMax Plus10 7200rpm 16mb cache ncq in Raid0

or better still,

2 x 250GB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 8mb cache ncq in Raid 0

Since you want RAID0, you may as well choose the most reliable drive out there.

NCQ capable drives are faster for some uses. But I have heard that regular workstation applications do not benefit much from NCQ.

Hmm, i am about to buy some things for my new computer, i was just about to go for the 74gb RAID 0, the same in my comp now...but then i read Anand's article that included NCQ....this comp is mainly for gaming, but i also use it for web design....will NCQ make a diff??...and is WD going to offer NCQ or do they already??
