Hey there, I'm running a athlon 1100 and a kt7-raid, two 40gb maxtors in a raid 0, and an old 10gb laying around. It's all under w2k and fat32. I'm wondering whats the best way to keep a backup of all system critical information should one of the drives go down. eg registry, system settings, and etc... And seeing that I'm pretty lazy, is there anything that would update it as I stumble through the net installing things?

Thanks,

Use MS Backup and have the scheduler backup your critical files at 3AM on Wednesday night.

yeah, but the mobo only supports RAID 0, 1 or 0+1 and swithing to a card would probably destroy the raid i have now. :( with no back up that's bad news bears

ms back up would probably work... hmm. I'll give it a shot for now until I probably spring for two more maxtors... ugh! and then I'd need to get a bigger powersupply... it doesn't end does it?

Heh heh...

With 4 drives why not go RAID5? Get a 3Ware Escalade or Adaptec 2400A.
