Raid 0 (2 drives) faster than a raptor 150Gb drive?

can a regular 2 hard drives (such as WD 160G 16mb buffer x 2) in Raid 0 beat a (just 1) Raptor 150G drive ?

It will still have a much slower access time, & that's what i find is the noticeable benefit with Raptors, not the read/write speeds.

Obviously if read/write speeds for larger files is your concern, then i'd suggest the WD 640 GB/ Samsung F1 1 TB, or a couple of those in RAID 0.
