Basic Info: Ragnarok Online is an MMORPG created by a
company by Gravity, in Korea. It is in its (free to play)
beta stages right now. It is a game with 2D sprites, but
3D backgrounds.
System Info: I have:
AMD Athlon XP 1800
Geforce 4 MX 420 (64 MB)
Sound Blaster Audigy MP3+
381 MB of RAM (a 256 MB and a 128 MB combined together)
60 GB Hard Drive (Western Digital)
Logitech Optical Mouse
Memorex Multimedia Keyboard
Can someone please explain why my computer keeps freezing
during gameplay? I have no idea what the solution could
be!
I did the following:
Installed all of the latest drivers for my hardware.
Gave all of the necessary updates to Windows XP Home
(including service pack 1)
Installed DirectX 8.1
Tried multiple game configurations with sound and
graphics.
And it still freezes on me. It will freeze on me just
about every ten minutes, ultimately making me restart the
computer.
I know that it is in its beta stages, so freezing because
of that is a possibility, but it is quite silly when the
game *never* freezes on anybody else (and I have been to
countless communities discussing this issue.
I would appreciate someone who could help me with this.
