Rage128pro misbehaving w/ PowerDVD

Mods are locking stuff left-right-and-center tonight! :Q
This is hardware related!
My ATI Rage128pro displays a black screen (and subsequent crash) when selecting hardware mode for playback. What solutions would you come up with?

Is this with PowerDVD 3.0? Did you get the patch? Are you using the latest drivers for the 128 PRO?
A freind has the same problem with the radeon AIW when using PowerDVD 3.0 with the patch and the latest drivers for the radeon. But PowerDVD will work when he doesn't enable hardware acceleration.

Uninstall and then Reinstall.
Make sure you have the newest patch for PowerDVD and the lastest driver for the video card.

Resolution may be related to your problem.
