RAGE HD released for iOS, Ultimate mobile gaming experience

Looks like RAGE HD has been released for iOS today.

I haven't downloaded it yet myself, but the graphics look incredible. If anyone else has played the game let me know your thoughts. I can't wait for Epic to release their game on iOS.

Also the game is only $2! A steal.

That's assuming the phone sells well, there's no indication it will. iOS is already full of solid games, and as far as I know PSP phone or not, Epic has no plans to bring their games to Android. The PSP phone will be pretty cool, but it could turn out to be a huge flop. I don't need a physical controller for mobile gaming, Rage HD has great graphics and looks like it's pretty fun. It won't run on my 1g iPod Touch but I'll be getting a new one for Xmas. I definitely see iOS staying the mobile gaming platform of choice for at least another year, maybe longer. Android's just getting Angry Birds we got a lot of catching up to do.

Yeah the game is uh....huge. Android users will probably be able to send it to SD.

Considering that there isn't even anything remotely close to RAGE on any mobile platform still makes it impressive. Google can't even get their UI out of lag central.

True if the PSP sells well. Plus that's in the future, you can play RAGE today. I'm still not sold on the PSP/Phone hybrid. Sony should just make their PSP a gaming device with 3G, no contract, and minus the phone. This would make an awesome gaming device on the go while being able to do online deathmatches.

Looks infinitely better on the iPad cus of the larger screen. Come on Apple give the next iPhone a larger screen. Either way though, the graphics looks great.

Yeah, I heard that its better on the iPad. Hopefully Apple will create a 4"+ Retina screen iPhone. I just downloaded the Joker vector wallpaper on my iPhone and its sharpness is amazing. Sharpness of printed paper with the brightness of an LCD.

I'm going to see my brother tonight so I'm going to tell him to get this on his iPad so I'll be able to see how good it is tomorrow. It really does look great though.

Looks and runs amazing on my 3GS! The controls take a minute to getting used to, but after that it's a lot of fun. I'm sure the gyro on iPhone4 makes for an even better experience.

Amazing graphic. Probably comparable to the doom graphic engine(2nd one)
Zero lag on the IP4.
Definate must have for $2 just to show off the graphic.

I just beat the game and RAGE is lag free. I haven't played Quake3 on Android, but RAGE is very fast pace and I didn't experience any lag.

I just watched the gameplay demo on Youtube and the graphics are insane. Since it's a railed shooter it reminded me of all the light gun games like House of the Dead, Ghost Squad, Time Crisis, etc. It's basically gun game with using touch pad instead of a light gun.

Quake3 is the same as you remember on your computer. Just with crappy touch control. Game flies with no slowdown on the Galaxy S but touchscreen control just don't work like mouse and keyboard. Here's Youtube video showing Quake 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGTzZmD8Gcw

You can either use the gyroscope or touch controls. I've gotten really good with the gyroscope and it feels pretty natural now.
