It's a decent deal. (However, you can get a 1GB stick for about 60$ nowadays, and 70$ for a really good stick from NewEgg.)

The price isn't bad but the Ratshack rebates are. I just received my phone rebate from the Black Friday sale. You'll most likely GET your rebate but don't expect it soon.

Seems like free shipping ground is added benefit. I just ordered it - except for tax of 11 bucks in CA everything else seems good in this deal.

talk about your thread crapping...

$50 for a 1 gig stick is a good deal, lay off. Contructive comments like problems that you've personally had with RadioShack rebates are useful, but not comments like yours.

From the product page: "Ultra Dual Channel DDR Memory modules ship in a beautifully crated mahogany box"

Should I get two of these (one sent to me, one to my brother) or get the 2GB Corsair @ Fry's for $129AR? My system needs 2GB of dual channel DDR but the OCZ sticks I have in there now need to be underclocked to do it successfully.

The ad says $35 after rebates but both rebate forms call for the original bar code.

No, they don't. One rebate calls for a "copy of the original UPC code" and the other calls for the "original UPC code."

I've submitted a set of RadioShack rebates with this same language before and both were fine.

Actually, after you submit for the onrebate.com form it asks for just a copy as well. So both of them actually ask for just a copy of the UPC. No need to send in the original.

BTW, at SD people have reported success in calling and getting a $15 refund if you already ordered it for $50 AR, since the price has dropped from $140 to $125 before rebates making it now $35 AR.
