I know, this is like an advertisement of sorts, but this band is really freaking good. They're called The Myriad and they released their debut LP about two weeks ago. Check out their MySpace in the above link and give them a listen. While those are good songs, I don't think they're the best on the CD. Just trying to spread the musical goodness that I've stumbled upon.

Edit: You can buy the CD from (maybe) your local Best Buy or online from Amazon.

i dont think they sound a whole lot like radiohead or muse  the lead singers voice does but their music doesn't at all.

There's definitely a Radiohead influence in the bass/guitar, but like I said those songs aren't as good by themselves. It's really an album that has to be listened to all together at once. The vocals also remind me of Thom Yorke on several of the other tracks not on their MySpace.

So do you like them or notsomuch? I think they're pretty decent.

You can also sample the songs from the CD at Amazon.

The CD is called You Can't Trust A Ladder.

Showbiz > Absolution imho. They're not the same as Muse, which is not what I intended for anyone to think, so don't expect that of them. They're just the same type of rock. The song Tethered has a bass line that sounds like something Muse's bassist might do.

That's cool if you don't care for them much, just trying to spread the word and help them out as well as share my favorite new album with everyone.

Hahaha no. A friend showed me them a while ago and I just got ahold of their CD this week while I was gone.
