good, next they need to remove the commercials

That would not be good. The radio stations are already influenced too much by the money they get for playing songs anyways. If commercials (a significant revenue to the station) were gone for good, then you would hear more of what the record companies want to force you to hear. Long gone are the college stations (and alike) that played music that was new and different and "cool". Nowadays it is all force fed by the record company giants. I will not be forced to listen to such crap.

Indeed. Can't stand the 'sameness' of modern radio. I kinda chuckle whenever I bother to stop at a sub shop and they have the radio on. It's like, "Well, I haven't listed to the radio in 3 years and...yes, yes, that IS the same exact set of songs still playing!"

Wish there was more variety. College radio/indie bands for teh win!

All the 80's music on KWOD now is getting kind of annoying.

Sure, but they are also playing plenty of classics from the mid 90's. Mazzy Star, Dead Can Dance, Live, Porno For Pyros, etc.

Some of it's good, some of it isn't, but at least there's ONE station now that I can listen to in the morning and not hear people blab about pointless pranks and crap.

Whoever came up with the idea that every single station needs a morning talk show should not be allowed to work in radio, or marketing, ever again.

I've honestly been listening mostly to Super Estrella 104.3 in Sac. It's a Spanish station, but it's pop Latin music which is actually really good.

By switching betwen that, KWOD, and that hard core rap station, I can usually manage to tolerate the radio being on.
