What's sad is the guy was in kind of a "walking dead" state for the last few years. His heart stopping just made it official.

In his final weeks, he was being kept alive on a feeding tube while his wife and daughter bickered over him. Force feeding someone like that when the body loses the ability to process nutrients apparently prolongs suffering.

That's why it's so important to have a living will. It's better that you make those decisions when you're mentally fit, then forcing your family to do so at an emotionally fragile time.

My friend was named "Casey" after that guy (his mother was a huge fan). He grew up loving Scooby-Doo too, even though he didn't care for dogs much himself (annoyed/doesn't appreciate the attention like more pet people). I do recall that he had a dog named Scooby when he was a kid.

Only two left that I still enjoy from time to time are Cousin Brucey (Bruce Morrow) still on SiriusXM, and the Dodgers legend Baseball announcer - Vin Scully. There are certainly a lot that I miss- Jim Bohannon (still living), Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Bob Prince and Harry Kalas, Curt Gowdy, and of course Howard Cosell, to name a select few. Casey, RIP, you are with immortals now.
