Should I post this in Hot Deals?

Craigslist

My wife and I can prepare peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for workers. It is all we will be providing so don't ask for anything else. Anyone with allergies to peanuts should find something else to eat during the day.

wtf

Truth be told I was searching for something to make whisper dishes but where the hell am I going to find another 100' radio dish? Those would be like STFU dishes.

Wonder what kind of permits are needed. That could be used for meshnet to cross large areas.

probably the least of your worries. if it hasn't worked since the 70's who knows how much $$$ it would cost to get it moving again.

maybe it's usable for radio astronomy? jamming satellites? or hell with enough power maybe damage the inputs

it's huge, I don't think you can make money by taking it down and selling the scraps.

The parts should be worth something. Lots of copper in the giant motors, assuming they haven't been stolen already. Bigass crane needed.

Lulz, cone of silence just poped into my head.

I had planned on hooking a laser of it to carve my face in the moon, but alas it will never come to be.

Man, if I had that dish I'd never give it up. I'd sit in there with my enemies lists, scheming stuff. Only way it could be more badass is if the birds were ravens or vultures. And I'd get monocles for me and the birds.

Could also use it to steal wifi from someone half way across the world. Will only work between specific hours late at night. :p

I feel like replying asking if the bolts are metric or imperial, so I know what socket set to bring. LOL

I think it's cool that it's on private land, personally I'd totally keep it and try to find a use for it!

Yeah... I doubt that thing would have ever been built in Wallingford to begin with. Too many wealthy NIMBY's would have complained to their Congresscritters, and zoning would have never been approved.

(pretty sure the same one was used in xmen: first class)
