Radical new wheel technology

Very interesting, I saw something about these a while ago but didn't hear anything since. Should be interesting, it would be nice to have tires that you never had to worry about going flat.
 
This is indeed a neat idea if they can get to the point where performance is identical or better than pneumatic tires. You'd think the splines would have a finite service life in an application as heavy as a car, but God knows I'm no mechanical engineer.
 
Just a matter of time before traditional pneumatic tires are replaced or have a competetive alternative.
Already, run-flat tires eliminate the need for a spare; and even provide safe drivability beyond just a quick fix.
