Radiators, One Big Vs. 3 Small, Loop Order?

I'm interested in delving in to h2o cooling. I'm trying to figure out loops and radiators right now. Is it better to go with one 320 or 3 seperate 120's in a specific order in the loop? It makes sense to me that one would have...radiator then component, then radiator then component, etc., to dissipate the heat as you go? I'm looking to cool a C2Quad and one 8800GTX with maybe SLI down the road.

Thanks,

EK2K

Well its better to have the 320, and one specify the MCR320. It will be able to handle the Quad and one GTX, but two GTX's is pushing it allot. Temps will be the same as air, if not higher. If you want to cool SLI and that quad get a PA120.3. Its bigger, and when most say bigger is better, well its true in this case.

Three 120.1's would be just a mess.

a single 120.3 is much better. An MCR320 cools about 400-450W. A single Overclocked Q6600 puts out around 133-150W. A single GTX puts out around 150-200W. That's 283-350W right there. A second GTX would require you to add a second loop to your system.

Q6600 & GTX
Res -> T-Line *Optional* -> Pump -> 120.3 Radiator -> Q6600 -> GTX -> Res

Q6600 & Dual GTXs
Loop 1: Res -> T-Line *Optional* -> Pump -> 120.2 Radiator -> Q6600 -> Res
Loop 2: Res -> T-Line *Optional* -> Pump -> 120.3 Radiator -> GTX -> GTX -> Res

While an MCR-320 is quite good, a Thermochill 120.3 is far beyond the MCR-320...so far, in fact, that MCR-320's sit in the dark and either plot Thermochill's destruction or secretly wish they, too, were Thermochill radiators.

Of course, to own the best you have to pay........but Thermochill rads are the best of the best rads out there.

Yeah, but price to performance ratio, MCR320 kill the Thermochills.

Swiftech MCR320: $60, 400-450W

Thermochill PA 120.3 $130-140, 450-500W+?.
