Radiator Location

I have been looking at the Alphacool Xtreme Pro 240 for cooling, just because of the ratings. However the radiator is massive on this (a 28cm Black Ice dual). Is there any reason why I should not externally mount the radiator as I do not have the space in my case - I got it for its personality! It seems that if I am trying to get the heat out this should not be an issue and I can dremmel a couple of intake holes ito the case to fit the tubing. Advice most welcome
