Radeon9800 Pro brand?

Does the brand of 9800Pro someone buys matter? FIC, Hercules, ATI, Gigabyte, Visiontek?

Is anyone better then another? One better overclocker? better cooling?

FIC is pretty cheap ($325 newegg) while hercules is most expensive...Gigabyte is just below ATI's price (around $350)

Oh and what about Sapphire OEM for $306? Is it any worse than Retail?

I usually buy ATI's retail, but I'm looking for a deal

Some other builds just offer different features, or some accessories. The Hercules for example is all blue PCB with copper heatsinks and a blue LED fan on the GPU, which is a very nice touch. Some might have different fans as well, like the Hercules and Gigabyte, or different bundles.

They should be all about the same. I would just go with the one you likes the best. If I had the cash I would get the BLUE hercules one just because its cool. But if I were looking to save money id get the sapphire

that sapphire OEM has the small-type power connector like the 9700s...take a look at newegg's screenshot of it.

nobody's been able to tell me if that matters or not...but my guess would be that it doesn't...otherwise they wouldn't have made the card 😛

BTW: what is the average overclock of the 9800Pro? I've looked but can find no refrence to go by. I see some overclock on benchmarks, but no user results
