Ok I am going to be getting a new video card VERY soon and I have made up my mind that I want either Radeon64DDR or Geforce2 Ultra. These are my system specs currently:

Abit BE6 (440BX)
Intel Pentium 3 500mhz Katmai o/c 575mhz
128MB PC100MHZ Fujitsu SDRAM o/c 115mhz
Western Digital 13GB UDMA66 7200RPM
Diamond Multimedia Viper V770 Ultra (nVIDIA Riva TNT2 Ultra) o/c 185/248mhz
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! Value
D-Link DFE-530TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (Rev A)
AOpen FM56-SM Soft PCI Modem
Pioneer America DVD-ROM DVD-115 16X
Creative Labs CD-RW RW8432E
Hewlett Packard Deskjet 842C
ViewSonic E771
Future Power Keyboard
Tracker Mouse
Labtec Spin70 Speakers

I live in canada and for a Redeon it costs $298 + 15% tax and a Geforce2 Ultra costs costs $469 plus tax. Their is an obvious price difference and a Geforce3 is out of the question cause it costs about $619 PLUS 15% and that way to much for me. If the Geforce2 Ultra will perform better then the Radeon for my system I am willing to get it. OR they have a Geforce2 PRO for $359. Maybe I could o/c the Pro to Ultra speeds?

So everyone tell me what you think and what I should get!!

All 3 are very good cards. The Radeon and GF/Pro are pretty close in speed. The Ultra is faster than either of the others. You are pretty CPU limited @ 575 MHz, so I'm not so sure you will see much of a difference from one card to the next. The Radeon has great 2D quality, the GF2 cards can be ok, or pretty bad depending on the brand. I'd say the Radeon.

well, none of the cards would reach even near their full potential because your system is greatly CPU limited. my suggestion is to upgrade your CPU before your video card. but if you must get one of the 3 mentioned cards, then it also matters on what your gaming preferences are. The Geforce2 Pro would be more then enough for todays games and early tomorrows.

Viper....depending on where you live, go to NCIX.com and when you place your order, just remove the PST...

You need a new CPU. It's a waste of time buying a faster video card.
