I don't see how parents expect their kids to appreciate things and work hard in life for what they want if they just buy it for them. Even if it's a birthday gift. I started working sh1t slave wage jobs at 11, and haven't been without a job for more than a couple weeks for the last 18 yrs.
My old man would have bought it, and put me on a payment plan at best.
Okay, who am I kidding, he would have never bought me a $500 video card.
After buying my house, I can see how folks look at those kind of purchases a little differently.
I shouldn't preach since I don't know his whole situation, and I realize he is just talking smack.
BUT, if he actually talked to his parents that way, I hope they take him out back and belt whip the sh1t out of him. I'll donate to their legal defense fund.
You can hit your kids, just not on camera !!!
To be honest since I'm about to produce offspring soon, I've been wondering how to give my kids the world, but not spoil them. Out of 10 teenagers I know through friend parents, only 1 isnt a rotten punk.
Okay, I'm done rumbling. Back to the Radeon X800 snipe hunt.
