Heh, I'd avoid this deal, at least for a couple weeks until the fire dies down.

dunno what the big deal is.. cdw hasn't shipped any either - they were supposed to get allocation from ati yesterday, and they've now pushed back to 6/20.
cusa shipped a few, but not really in any quantity.
seems to me ati is simply not delivering, and the retailers are simply scrambling because ati just isn't able to ship in quantity as they promised. am sure supplies will begin to loosen in the next few weeks...

Well, I know this is probably a really, really stupid move, but I just ordered one anyway. If I can find it somewhere else in stock (for a reasonable price) I'll cancel. But who knows, maybe gateway will get a million of these things next week.....
will compusa give me a price match with gateway? Dont they have to with such a large retail seller as gateway?
Gateway has been real vague about their stock and ship dates. That's why there were so many complaints in that thread. My order's status changed twice despite them assuring me that it was in-stock two weeks ago. It's irrevelant now anyway. I cancelled my order with Gateway two days ago.

As far as I can tell, it's just misc. screensavers and junk from that "Ruby's HQ" site that ATI has. It does come with a mini-comic book that's a short "prelude" to the demo. It ends just where the demo starts. Pretty boring stuff actually. I like the t-shirt though. Than again, I like most t-shirts when they're free
if i only had the money for that......that would be MY shirt and MY card.....

When i was getting my 9700 aiw card liek 2 years ago, i had it in my hands, i was about to install it when i noticed oen bad thing..... MY STUPID COMP DIDNT HAVE AGP!!!! So i had to geta 5200!!!
Before that, i was buyign an hp computer, but my shipment got LOST and i had to wait about a month to get one!!
Im 15, and my driver's ed teacher HAS LOST THE FORM TO GIVE ME MY LISCENSE!!
Now, im getting the x800xt, I have to pay extra,AND NOW THEY ARNT SHIPPING WHEN TEHY SAID TEHY WERE!!

Heh, I ordered it on the phone Monday night. With overnight shipping, it came in today
I did have to pay full retail for it, but after all the jerking around I got from Gateway (and to a smaller degree CDW), I think it was worth it. Especially since it's going anywhere from $550-600 for just the OEM version on some sites.
think im gonan get it? Ordered it a day later than u.....Most likely if that stor i heard is true, tehy woudla taken mine back before they could ship it....I TOLD MY MOM TO GET IT ON MNDAY!! Hard to say. It was about 9:30pm (EST) when I placed my order on the phone. At that time, there were only 9 left and they guy's phone was ringing off the hook. I had just got in on time.
well, supposedly mien got ordered by 11:30 on tuesday... And i doubt that people liek us could wake up by 11:30 lol... And 9:30 is thri closing time i believe.... so i might make it!!! I MIGHT NOT MAKE IT!

Son, when I was your age, computers only existed in very large rooms and handful of dull people in white lab coats operated them. No one sat in front of a computer at home and we had to do other things for entertainment. For my 15th birthday, I got a single shot 22 rifle and I was very grateful.
Some day, your mother won't be around anymore and the memories you'll have will not be that she bought you a $500 video card for your birthday.
Start learning the virtue of patience..... your going to grow up faster than you think and you'll find yourself wondering how quick it all seemed to go by.
I don't see how parents expect their kids to appreciate things and work hard in life for what they want if they just buy it for them. Even if it's a birthday gift. I started working sh1t slave wage jobs at 11, and haven't been without a job for more than a couple weeks for the last 18 yrs.

To be honest since I'm about to produce offspring soon, I've been wondering how to give my kids the world, but not spoil them. Out of 10 teenagers I know through friend parents, only 1 isnt a rotten punk.
Okay, I'm done rumbling. Back to the Radeon X800 snipe hunt.

LOL, instead of buying that otehr prada bag, she got me this, but i helped pay for it. as well.... Look at it this way, She just bought 2 x 60 inch lcd tvs for our house, and didnt break a sweat....she prolly doesnt even notice the 500 buckso n her bills..... She prolly paid it already...LOL
i would never talk to my parents liek that lo, im just mad as hell, she didnt listen to my simple comment to buy early, and im going rambo on compusa, if i find out i missed teh last cards.....Simple as that! I work, i build computers for peopel all teh time, the money is mostly mine.... So whatever....
