No I do not own stock in nV and I don't see how you could interpret my above post as fanboyish, especially after I explain my reasoning to you. I was accused of being an ATi employee here before as well when I endorsed their cards..sigh.

5150-
I have to say I'm impressed.
The only thing I would say in this thread is "Kudos 5150".

You hit it all on the head- we don't need anymore R3/R4 cards, only R5 cards.

Thanks and we're in total agreement, R3xx/R4xx do not have a place in this market anymore. With nVidia having every segment covered with SM 3.0/HDR parts, there simply is no excuse to pass them up for an ATi solution.

thats the biggest bunch of crap i have heard in a while, troll...

those cards can still run most of todays games just fine, and up until only a few months ago, were the best around.

gamingphreek, i've read many of your posts and its clear that you're just ANOTHER fanboy...you ALWAYS have to defend your nvidia...

but i do disagree than today's sm3 cards will next gen games like ass. the 6800 series won't be able to play the next game games at highest settings, but they won't run like ass...
nvm i just noticed that you said next year. dude, look at the 9800 pro. the only game that runs like ass is probably f.e.a.r.

Any links? Im definitely not a fanboy FYI.... it would seem that you among others are attempting to start a flamewar out though. Do i need to compliment ATI everytime i compliment Nvidia or something? Stop spreading FUD.

As for your second statement... what are you rying to prove now. It would seem to me that the 6800 will run next gen software just as well as the X series, with perhaps a slight performance boost from SM3 (It might not, im just saying it is possible).

x800GT is a really attractive product, I'll grab that over a 6600GT any day because of the performance. I'm a guy who wants a bang for his buck.

If I recall...Gamingphreek has argued against me about SM3, so I wouldnt call him a fanboy.

The performance difference is minimal between the 6600gt and x800gt...so, when you have next gen games, most which will run SM3 even if it ISNT for IQ reasons), SM3 will boost performance on a 6600gt over sm2.0 on a x800gt. So technically, wouldn't the 6600gt be a better buy?

Once again, I did NOT say SM3 will run great and have uber graphics on a 6600gt...i said, if it doesnt run and look good on sm3 with a 6600gt, then it wont look any better or run any better (it would probably run worse) with a x800gt on sm2.0

and this is all speculation. I COULD be wrong. I dont see many people saying they might be wrong here, eh?
