RADEON X800 SE

I was wondering if anyone has seen any reviews for this card. It's not too bad of deal. 256MB memory & $323 on pricewatch. Only 8 pipes, but just wondering about its benchmarks.

Anyone? So a x800se has 8pipes. x800pro has 12pipes. x800 pro XT has 16. What about the plain x800?

The "plain" X800 is apparently the new name for the X800SE. It has eight pipelines and (I think) a 256-bit memory interface.

No benches yet; they're not out yet!

You're right; apparently I thought I had read something I hadn't. Rumors say they may be replacing the X800SE with the X800 in their lineup, but they are separate cards.

The RADEON X800 is supposed to have 12 pipes, 400/350 clocks, and a 128-bit memory interface. With those specs, it would *probably* be slightly slower than a 6600GT (although it would be interesting to see if you might be able to softmod it into an X800XL, which would give a card with the fillrate of a 6800U and the memory bandwidth of a 9600XT!).

i ran 3d mark 03 on mine with a p4 2.4 overclocked to 3.22 and my score was

7280

i could hardly believe it myself

allthough im quickly becoming more regretfull about buying this thing, im actually pissed i bought it. please dont buy it. it works farcry, hl 2 all the high end games on highest settings awesomely, but the 6800 is just so much better

i feel ripped off too

I get 9600 in 3dMark03 with my x800 SE a64 3500+

You cant unlock the pipes they are laser locked.
