I just bought the Radeon X800 GTO card, and i have a 60 inch HDTV
and so i hooked it up, and i do have widescreen, but i cant stretch the picture, it wont let me, im using hte standard VGA cable to hook it in, its not a DVI port on the back of the HDTV.
and my problem is that, i have a good 6 inches on either side, and a good 3-4 inches on the bottom and top that are just blank, my picture just wont stretch, ive tried forsing it using
the ATI Catalyst control center, it helped... but very little. so i just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about being able to stretch the picture so i can use my whole tv.

Thanks

there is usually an option in the catalyst control panel that is called overlay in the TV section there. i had the same problem on a smaller display and it was fixed when i enabled this.

also make sure that you have added or ticked the HDTV support options in the tv section again.
