Radeon X700PRO vs 9800PRO

50$ difference in between these cards... And I found 2 benchmark tests between the two through google... One shows a 256MB X700PRO beating the 9800PRO but not by much the other shows a 128MB X700PRO losing to the 9800PRO...

Also the new X600/700/800 cards are PCI-E only right? So i would have to upgrade my board (which i will eventually do anyway though)

But the radeon9800PRO is as low as 115$ shipped now... Is the X700PRO really not worth the 50$ for more performance?

6600GT>X700Pro>9800Pro on everything except 16x12 AA and AF in which case none of the cards are playable.

nope, the x800 cards are agp too. but gamingphreek got the cards right. get a 6600gt

Or, if you can stretch for $200, you can get a x800 vanilla, which will spank all the cards mentioned above. But I think its for pci-e only, so if you need agp, then a 6600gt is the best choice.

has the price of the X800 vanilla come down to $200...well if it is then i would advise u to spend a little and a good performance increase!! otherwise 6600GT
