ATI plans to keep the X1900 XT alive when it launches the new X1950 XTX and XT cards. Despite the marginal performance difference it won?t get rid of the X1900 XTX and XT cards at once.

It will sell them side by side with X1950 cards until supplies last and we are sure ATI has to drop the price of the X1900 cards to keep selling them.

X1950 XTX will be set at an aggressive ?399, so it won't be easy to sell the remaining X1900 XTX cards but as we said before the performance difference is only seven per cent.

ATI plans to keep both 256 and 512MB versions until it completely gets rid of them and replaces them at some later date. µ

Ok nothing to see here, but what gets me is this line

as we said before the performance difference is only seven per cent

Fraud has just hit the "bullshit-o-meter" top with this one... 5-10%/10-15%? sure... 7%? LOL

You know what? An EXTREMELY reliable source that found its way out of my butt the other night, told me G80 will be exactly 21.74% faster! :Q

As you see it doesnt really matter what game or benchmark we are using, as it will ALWAYS be the same % faster...

I think The Inq should just change their "slogan" to "Lies, bullshit, fraud and fiction" .. now that would be alot more accurate

Nowadays its just a parody of itself really.. good for a laugh:)

Either way, 399? looks great... lets hope it does come out at such competitive pricing

So you slam them with the speed difference, but take their word for the price? ;)

Anyway, this is good to hear. Maybe I'll snag me a x1900xt.

Meh that's unfortunate, but considering it's only increasing memory bandwidith, I don't expect a large average performance difference. Core speed make a larger impact on average.
