radeon x1900xtx questions

i just bought the radeon x1900xtx 512mb card, and i have a couple questions:

1) how can i be sure this thing is functioning correctly? i haven't had any problems with it yet, but i just want to make sure it's utilizing it's full potential. any tests?

2) while playing counterstrike: source, i upped all the video settings to maximum quality. however, after doing this i got all hot pink reflections for some reason. anybody know what the problem is and how to fix that?

1) download fear demo and run the little video test
use the source stress test in CS:S
use 3dmark 06 and compare to similar systems using futuremarks online results browser (refered to as ORB)

2) not entirely sure, you may want to head over to video and ask there.
 
I had some shadow problems on my X800GTO2 with the 6.2 cats in HL2. CS:Source is on the same engine so it might be a similar problem. You may just have to wait for a driver update. I rolled back to the 5.7 cats and my problem was solved.
