Radeon woes with Windows XP. :(

(Wow, the unhappy smilie really does look depressed. 🙁 )

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew of good, stable drivers to run on my Radeon under XP. I tried the official ATI ones for Windows 2000, but i got lots of BSODs and lack of stabiloty while gaming. I'm running the default drivers that come packed with XP now and was wondering if anyone knew of some good drivers, preferably with OpenGL. 🙂

Thanks all.

Both the default XP drivers and the official ATI drivers seem very stable to me. However, the official ATI drivers are giving me annoying artifacts when dragging the windows and opening the Start menu.

But the default drivers lack OpenGL🙁

I'm using the 3226 beta's available at Rage3D.com on my VIVO 64. I usually don't use beta ANYTHING... but for ATi video drivers, beta is best ;-)

They are very stable on my XP box.

I'll have a go with the 3226's if these ones start to fail me. Hopefully i'll be able to play Max Payne now, before I got crashed to the desktop every 5 minutes. 🙁

Thanks for the swift replies. 🙂

I've just installed the 3226 beta drivers and, woohoo!, the artifacts are gone. Tnx for the link, aircooled!

Heh, when I was playing Max Payne on Win98SE system with the latest Radeon drivers the cut scenes were nothing but a blank screen.
