Radeon + win2k + new beta drivers + dx8 = better?

So any luck anyone? Much improvement? Im still weary of upgrading to win2k since I own a radeon 32mb which does not have the greatest performance in win2k from what im reading...so how about it with dx8 and the new beta drivers? Will i see noticeable loss from win2k to 98se in games?

I didn't really notice any major differences, but I haven't tried DX8 final yet. Try the forums at www.rage3d.com or www.rageunderground.com and see the feedback there.
