Radeon visual settings

I get a good video card but there's all these settings! Under the OpenGL tab in RadeonTweaker or in the video card setup there is a bunch of visual options like KTX filter, texture compression, etc... I have no idea what these are other than the V-sync part which I turned off. There's antistropic filtering too, wtf is that?

Is there any sites that explains these so I can tweak them?
 
Check out the forums at Rage3D, they have a forum just for Radeon tweaking and i'm pretty sure there was already a thread describing what the different settings do.
