Radeon VE: Dual Head Experience?

I'm interested to see if many people have used the Radeon VE for dual-head under windows2000. How is the 2D performance? I'm wanting to get 1280x1024 (24 or 32 bit color)@ 85 Hz for both primary and secondary monitors. Is this possible? Is the performance good? Is the image quality good?

I'm thinking about getting one, but I want to make sure that both monitors will be happy with it.
Monitors are: 21" Dell (Trinitron Tube) and 17" Dell (Trinitron Tube)

My experience with the Radeon VE while running in dual mode was with LCD monitors. One screen looked pretty bad until I noticed the phase setting for the LCD monitor. I was able to adjust the "phase" for both LCD monitors so that the pictures looked great. I can't vouch for how your CRTs would perform with this card, though.
