Just got back from Circuit City, they had the Radeon VE Dual Display Edition 32MB DDR AGP listed for $129.99 plus they were advertising a $30 MIR. When they rang it up, it rang up as $99.99 plus I still get a rebate, final cost, $69.99 for a retail card.

That's right because the links at CC are dynamic and apply to the session only. You'll have to head over to the Circuit City site: CC Site, select Computer Peripherals and Accessories, then head for the video card section. You will see the Radeon VE for $99.99 before a $20 rebate whic is good between 6/1/2001 and 7/31/2001.
On a side note, I saw this card being sold at the computer show yesterday by one vendor for $119.00 - I guess that's why nobody was purchasing from this individual.
They also have a $20 rebate on their $129.99 PCI Radeon. They say "ATI Radeon SDR 32MB PCI Video Card with Video Out Capability" -- does that mean this is a TV out card? IS $110 after rebate a good deal?
I'm looking for a PCI card to drive 3 monitors... or 2 monitors + TV out...

ATI also has a $30 rebate for All In Wonder & Radeon PCI, so it would drop the price to $80 for the Radeon PCI. Not too shabby 
The rebate for Radeon sdr pci is $30, and I don't think it supports 2 monitors and tv out is s-video. anybody 2 confirm?

No, the PCI Radeo for $129.00 does NOT support dual monitors. However, being a PCI card, you can put MULTIPLE cards in the same computer. This is the main reason to purchase PCI cards (those with obsolete motherboards not supporting AGP should get a new motherboard).
One AGP with Maxtrox or ATI dual-card, plus one PCI card = support for 3 monitors on one system!

perhaps it was their win2k drivers, but when i gave the VE a whirl, Windows performance sucked. I'm sticking with my Viper 2 and my two Stealth S540s for now...

I hate you guys. I went there to buy it for the machine I am making for my buddy (should call it the hot-deals machine), and I have to buy one for myself........ the Viper II (scary) will be handed off to the PII for a TV box. So ended up walking out of there with two (seperate receipts for rebate)

)Newegg has this card for $75 w/o MIR if I'm not mistaken. I think it's worth $6 or $7 to me not to have to deal with the MIR.

The $8 shipping is about what I pay in tax for a $100 product. The big difference is that the CC deal is for the retail box. I still hate MIR though. I have yet to receive a few from '97. I'm still hoping though.

This card has troubles with the VIA chipset--otherwise it's great. An alternative for dual display that I went with was the WinFast GeoForce 2 MX Pro. It works great with the VIA chipset.

Usually, the OEM card may not include the same software bundle, but should include basic drivers on CD-Rom. The OEM card may not contain all of the cables - if the card had a Video In / Video Out solution. A few years back, the Diamond OEM cards had slower memory than the retail cards - it appears now this should not be an issue.
